We work in partnership with Initial Teacher Training providers across the country, supporting and preparing their trainees to teach about the Holocaust at the very start of their teaching careers and beyond.
Trainee teachers from a range of subject discipline areas, all acquire a better understanding of research-informed practice and hands-on experience of our pedagogy and resources. All free of charge.
Our core ITE course aims to:
- Address common misconceptions and challenges as identified by our research.
- Provide foundational subject knowledge in preparation for teaching about the Holocaust.
- Explore pedagogical approaches to teaching about the Holocaust.
- Explore what planning for progress looks like when teaching about the Holocaust.
ITE participants will be provided with relevant pre course preparation and following their successful completion of the programme, will receive a copy of our research informed KS3 textbook, and the opportunity to order their own free class set.
