St Bernard’s is a Catholic academy with an all-girls intake in Years 7-11 with a mixed gender sixth form.

The school is located in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, and has around 900 students on roll. The majority of the students are from White British backgrounds, although nearly a quarter of the students are from a range of minority ethnic backgrounds including Black African, Asian and Eastern European heritage.

The academy has specialisms in the arts and science. It is also a National Association for Able Children in Education (NACE) member. The academy has also been congratulated on its disadvantaged pupil results.
