Sheldon School is a successful Academy and former Teaching School. We hold specialisms in Science, PE and Modern Languages but pride ourselves on all subject areas being of equal importance with the education of the whole child at the centre of our philosophy.

We embrace staff training and development and work closely with Higher Education Centres, Bristol University, Bath Spa, UWE and Exeter University committing fully to Initial Teacher Training. We are a very active partner in the North Wiltshire Schools Alliance, promoting collaboration and excellence.

Having completed the CPD day and the MA Unit on the challenges of teaching the Holocaust, we were extremely keen to become a Beacon School in Holocaust Education.

Sheldon School will be hosting  the IOE Centre for Holocaust Education Core CPD course on 28th November, 2014. We are committed to improving the quality of Holocaust education and will be working closely with schools in the North Wiltshire Alliance in order to support them in this task.
