Ripon Grammar School is a selective, co-educational state school with boarding accommodation, which is unique in Yorkshire and one of a small, select group of schools throughout the country.
Ripon are an outward-looking school, with a thriving sixth form which attracts a range of external entrants each year and a strong commitment to initial teacher training as well as on-going professional development for our staff.
Ripon are currently undertaking Holocaust-related teaching within a range of subjects and across our 11 to 18 age range. Inclusion in the UCL Beacon School programme will give the school the chance to develop what they do further, in the classroom and at a whole school level, and to link up with local schools to share experiences and expertise in this important but challenging topic.
