Ounsdale High School is a founder member of the Invictus Multi Academy Trust along with three other secondary schools: Kinver High School, Ellowes Hall School in Gornal, and Crestwood School in Kingswinford.

There are currently 880 students on roll in this 11-18 mixed comprehensive school located in South Staffordshire. The History department has been delivering Holocaust education for well over 15 years as the Lead Teacher is also a Fellow of Holocaust Education at the Imperial War Museum, London.

The Holocaust is primarily taught in History lessons but increasing numbers of colleagues have asked for resources to aid its meaningful delivery in their subjects, notably English, RE, Drama and Psychology. So, in addition to rewriting their own scheme, their ambition is to develop ideas and resources for those subjects and others who request them. These will be subsequently shared within and beyond our Beacon network.

Ounsdale are developing the CPD of staff delivering this project, with the lead teacher participating in the UCL Beacon School Study Trip to Warsaw and 30 other members of staff and network schools attending the UCL training day held in September 2015.
