The Highfield School is an 11-18 co-educational comprehensive school in Letchworth Garden City.
Highfield became a Cooperative Trust school in April 2013, as part of the Letchworth Garden City Education Partnership. We have been working with the Centre for Holocaust Education since June 2013, with a view to providing our students with a holistic and coherent cross-curricular study of the Holocaust.
This year, the Religious Studies department has been working with the Centre for Holocaust Education with the aim of designing schemes of work to be delivered through both Religious Studies and History lessons, to our year 9 students. Our aim is to refine and develop our existing schemes of work, in order to provide both our teachers and students with new resources and pedagogical techniques that will allow them to explore the Holocaust from both historical and moral perspectives.
