Coopers’ Company and Coborn School is an 11-18 academy with a strong focus on academic achievement.

RS and History staff at the school will be working together to dovetail the main Holocaust Education curriculum in year 9, and Geography will be introducing a new unit on the geography of the Holocaust.

The school will take year 9 off-timetable for two days at the beginning of their teaching of the Holocaust, to give time for students to absorb the concepts and the implications in a supportive atmosphere. Coopers’ will also run a special Inter Faith Forum, widely advertised to include members of the community, to mark Holocaust Memorial Day on January 27^th.

In addition, the school are developing a team of RE Ambassadors, who will take the premise that students are disseminators of ideas to younger and older generations, to deliver assemblies and to engage with the community in forums at our school.
