Norbury Manor is a single sex girl’s 11-18 school in Croydon, South London.

The school have a large percentage of ethnic minority groups in the school, and have a high proportion of EAL students. In 2014, the Humanities faculty chose to work together to deliver a genocide focused deep learning day, using many of the UCL Beacon School resources to deliver a cross-curricular learning experience to their year 11 students.

They also developed and extending out Holocaust SOW for year 9 and trailed some of the UCL CPD lessons with major success.

Norbury Manor staff are continuing to develop cross curricular links with other subjects outside of the Humanities faculty to encourage them to also engage their students in their subjects with the Holocaust.
