Yesterday, the Minister for School Standards, Georgia Gould OBE, met with Centre Director, Andy Pearce, and CEO of Pears Foundation, Amy Braier, to discuss the transformative impact that our work has had on Holocaust education since 2008.

In a ranging and highly productive conversation, the meeting covered the Centre’s unparalleled research base of what teaching and learning about the Holocaust looks like; how this evidence underpins a national professional development programme which is responsive to real-world need; and the demonstrable impact our research-informed approach has on teachers’ subject knowledge and confidence.

We remain deeply appreciative of how the unique partnership between the Department for Education and Pears Foundation has enabled us to achieve this success, and look forward to building on these achievements in the years ahead.
